Job Title: Teaching Assistant 1:1
Axcis Education is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Chingford. The school is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Complex Needs. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment that helps students flourish. Key Responsibilities: Support: Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and manage student behaviour. Assist: Offer one-to-one and small group support to students in class, focusing on those facing trauma and SEMH challenges. Hours: Full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 8:20 AM to 4:00 PM Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience or relevant training in special education, child development, or related fields is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine empathy for students' needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting a positive and inclusive school culture.
