Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant
Job Advertisement: Learning Support Assistant (SEND College) Location: Bromley Hours: Full-time, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday) Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a SEND college in Bromley. In this full-time role, you will support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), medical needs, and personal care requirements, helping them thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide personalised support to students with PMLD, ensuring their learning and care needs are met. • Assist with medical needs, following care plans and using specialist equipment as required. • Provide personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene, while maintaining dignity and respect. • Work closely with teachers and support staff to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences. • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their independence, confidence, and well-being. Requirements: • Experience supporting students with PMLD, medical needs, and personal care (preferred but not essential). • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students. • Willingness to assist with personal care and follow medical protocols as needed. • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to dynamic and varied needs.
