A vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Brent is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Physical Education teacher to join the dynamic team. This position is to cover the maternity leave of the current post-holder, starting from February 2025.
We are looking for a well-qualified, motivated, and inspiring individual who has a genuine passion for physical education and can engage students to achieve their best. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to offer a second subject, enhancing our curriculum offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Motivating students to excel in their academic and extracurricular pursuits.
- Offering a range of extra-curricular sports and activities to enrich the school community.
- Serving as a supportive and proactive form tutor as and when required
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A passion for excellence in the teaching of Physical Education
- Strong ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve excellent results
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to contributing to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- The attributes necessary to be an effective form tutor, supporting student welfare and academic progress
Desirable:
- Ability to teach a second subject within the school’s curriculum
