Job Title: Learning Mentor
Axcis Education are seeking teaching assistants who are available on a full- time basis, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 3:00. For this role you must be a driver and willing to get business insurance as the students need to attend outreach programmes, hospital appointments and internship schemes. Something to be excited about, you will also visit museums, play parks, adventure parks and so much more!
Your day to day will be working 1-1 with students in a classroom with the main teacher in office blocks rather than a school. All the pupils attending the class have been referred by the council either being school leavers or coming from traumatic backgrounds such as care or foster settings. The pupils have ECHP (education care and health plans) which you and the teacher will work with to support their development. As a teaching assistant you need to be resilient, nurturing, and consistent!
You may have personal or work experiences previously which are both acceptable for this role. Interviews are taking place ASAP with the potential of long-term roles leading through to the Summer.
For this role you must have:
• A car
• Be available to work from 8:30 – 3:00
• Be prepared to get business insurance
• Hold grade C or above in Maths and English
