Job Title: Special Educational Needs, 1-to-1, Teaching Assistant, Smethwick
We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-to-1 basis in a mainstream primary school in Smethwick, this role will be starting immediately. The school is rated “Good” by Ofsted and they work very hard to ensure all pupils are supported to the highest possible standard. The successful applicant for this role will get the full support of the SENCo, who is highly experienced & they actively make themselves accessible to ensure all students get the best possible support. You will be working in a mainstream classroom, alongside the class teacher & the general class TA. This role will be supporting a Year 3 student who is severely autistic & currently uses PECS to communicate as they are non-verbal. No personal care will be required in this role. - This role will be working Monday to Friday, 08:30am until 3:35pm during term-time only. - You will be paid a week in arrears, via PAYE of a daily rate starting from £83.40 per day. This is a long-term role and therefore you will be paid in accordance with AWR. - Previous SEND experience is required to be considered for this role. - This role is an immediate start for the right applicant and will run until a minimum of the end of the academic year 2024/2025 but likely may be extended into academic year 2025/26.
