About the Role:
We're looking for full-time 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work closely with children who need extra support in and out of the classroom. Many of the students you'll be working with are on the autism spectrum and benefit greatly from consistent, calm, and patient support throughout the school day.
No previous experience is required—just the right attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in helping children succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day
• Helping them engage in classroom learning and manage transitions
• Building a positive, trusting relationship to encourage confidence and independence
• Assisting with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour in line with individual needs
• Working alongside teachers and SEND staff to implement personalised strategies
What We’re Looking For:
• Someone reliable, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children
• A calm and compassionate approach to supporting children with autism and related needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A willingness to learn and take on feedback
• No experience needed—just a passion to make a difference
What We Offer:
• A full-time role (term-time only) in a supportive, inclusive school environment
• On-the-job training and mentoring to help you grow in confidence
• Opportunities to progress in the field of education or SEND support
• A welcoming team committed to making education accessible to every child
