Job Title: SEN Teacher
We are looking for an experienced PMLD Teacher to join a wonderful special needs college. As a PMLD Teacher, you’ll take on a dynamic and rewarding role, where every day presents new challenges. Working closely with other staff members, including TAs and Care Workers, you'll develop and deliver educational programmes that support our students in their learning journeys. The role is based in Haringey (N22), with hours from 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM, full-time (or at least every Monday and Wednesday). Your Responsibilities: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students with PMLD. Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters student independence and self-confidence. Track and record student progress, adjusting learning plans as needed to ensure students are always achieving their best. Attend staff meetings and engage in professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of best practices in PMLD education. What You’ll Need: Proven experience as a PMLD Teacher, particularly working with college-aged students. A relevant teaching qualification (for Teachers only) and an understanding of current safeguarding practices. A caring and open personality, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families.
