Job Title: Teaching Assistant
SEND TA – Newham (Fluent in Makaton) Have you had experience working with students with SEMH or challenging behaviour? Do you have creative strategies to support and encourage young learners? Are you experienced in working with young people or SEND? A welcoming mainstream SEND school in Newham is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants fluent in Makaton. This role is ideal for those with SEND experience and at least a years experience using Makaton. Position Details: • Role: SEND TA – SEMH, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour • Location: Newham • Start Date: Immediate • Year Groups: KS1 to KS4 • Pay: £90 - £110 per day • Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday What We’re Looking For: • Experience supporting students with SEMH, ADHD, or challenging behaviour. • Fluency in Makaton to aid communication with students. • A confident, proactive, and patient approach to supporting young learners. • Ability to create engaging learning strategies and interventions. • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
