Job Title: Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Hampton, London Job Type: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Salary: Paid to Scale Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Hampton, London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and possess the skills to effectively support diverse learning needs in a classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere. • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans tailored to individual student's needs. • Assist with the development and adaptation of educational resources to support curriculum access for SEND students. • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to educators, parents, and support staff. • Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour by implementing strategies aligned with school policies. • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to SEND education. Qualifications • Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A relevant qualification in education or child development is preferred.
