Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Greenford Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm Contract: Full-time, Temporary (until Christmas) Start date: September 2026 Overview A welcoming and well-established secondary school in Greenford, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time, temporary role runs until Christmas and offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Key Requirements The successful candidate will have: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK secondary school. Experience supporting secondary-aged students. Experience working with students with: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Challenging behaviour A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the DBS Update Service. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills. A proactive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting young people. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students in the classroom. Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management. Support students with additional learning, behavioural, and emotional needs. Encourage student participation, confidence, and academic progress.
