Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Axcis education are looking for a teaching assistant to work at a SEND school in Tiverton working with children both primary and secondary ages. The children are diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and SEMH (trauma). This is a full-time teaching assistant role working Monday to Friday 8am - 3:00pm with a 30 minute break. The pay rate is £90 per day. This role has the potential to be a permanent job role for the right candidate. ROLE ? Working in a school environment with a team of teachers, support staff, safeguarding leads and family liaisons ? Working in small class sizes or on a 1-1 baiss ? Supporting outreach, community programmes and school trips ? To build confidence, self-esteem and be a role model to vulnerable young people ? To engage in lessons, promote positive behaviour and curiosity in subjects The successful candidate must have: ? An understanding in special needs ? An outgoing, friendly and approachable personality ? An empathetic, nurturing person ? Someone who can make safe, and clear boundaries following safeguarding guidelines ?
