Job Title: Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant – Autism Resource Provision (ARP) – Havering
£95–£110 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | Primary Setting
Axcis are proud to be supporting a highly regarded primary school in Havering with a dedicated Autism Resource Provision (ARP). They are seeking a committed and knowledgeable SEND Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team.
The ARP supports approximately 10–12 pupils and offers a calm, structured learning environment while encouraging integration into mainstream lessons where appropriate.
The school benefits from strong transport links and onsite parking.
About the Role
You will work within the ARP setting supporting pupils with autism and communication needs.
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting structured teaching sessions
• Using visual supports and communication tools
• Assisting with sensory regulation strategies
• Supporting transitions between ARP and mainstream classes
• Contributing to EHCP tracking and review processes
What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting autism (ARP or special school desirable)
• Understanding of sensory processing and communication differences
• Calm and nurturing approach
• Ability to work as part of a specialist SEND team
• Long-term availability
