We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team in the heart of Wandsworth, London. This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, with a start date on Monday, 29th September.
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing tailored support to children with a range of learning needs, fostering an environment that encourages each student to achieve their full potential. Our ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to inclusive education practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the delivery of individualized learning plans under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
• Assist in creating engaging and accessible learning materials for pupils with SEND.
• Aid in the behaviour management and social integration of students within the classroom and wider school environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes for students with additional needs.
• Monitor and report on the progress of students, contributing to reviews and assessments as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Relevant experience working with children with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying needs catered to within the SEND spectrum.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
