We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Complex Needs Teacher to join our dynamic team at a well-respected educational establishment in Sutton, London. The successful candidate will have a passion for inclusive education and a proven track record in supporting students with a variety of complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, individualised educational programmes to students with complex needs, ensuring engagement and progress.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to meet the educational, behavioural, and developmental needs of all pupils.
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive and multi-disciplinary approach to learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
• Create a safe, nurturing learning environment that promotes dignity, respect, and inclusion.
• Engage in continuous professional development to maintain knowledge of current best practices in special education.
Essential Criteria:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in teaching children with complex needs.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to the holistic development of pupils and to fostering positive relationships with parents and carers.
