Axcis Education are looking to appoint a teaching assistant, for a long term role in a Preston based SEND provision. The school, is based near Kirkham, in North Preston and they are looking for a teaching assistant, to join their growing team. The school cater for students of all ages who have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, MLD, SEMH difficulties, physical disabilities and complex needs. A number of the students who attend this school display some challenging behaviours and, many, require personal care. The school are looking to appoint a teaching assistant, to join their team on a long term, if not permanent basis. The role will start as soon as possible, on a long term basis and school hours are 830am - 330pm Monday - Friday. The role will require you to provide 1:1 and small group support across most age groups, working with children who have a range of needs. Personal care will be required for this role. The candidate should have some experience working with students who have special educational needs and/or challenging behaviours and experience working in a school is preferable.
