Job Title: SEND Teacher
END Teacher – Inclusive Primary School – N17
Axcis Education is working closely with a nurturing and community-driven mainstream primary school in N17, North London, to recruit a passionate and experienced SEND teacher. This full-time role offers the chance to join a committed team focused on creating an inclusive learning environment where all pupils can succeed.
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Location: N17, North London
About the Role:
This rewarding position involves teaching and supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, most of whom have EHCPs. You will be based within a specialist provision or work closely with pupils in the classroom, depending on your skills and experience. The school has a well-established SEND team and is looking for someone who can bring energy, empathy, and expertise to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENDCo, and external professionals
Use a variety of strategies and interventions to support learning, communication, and behaviour
Maintain clear records of progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
Foster a safe, encouraging, and structured classroom environment
The Right Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary setting
A solid understanding of a range of needs, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning delays
The ability to differentiate teaching effectively and creatively
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners
QTS or equivalent (specialist SEND qualifications are an advantage but not essential)
