**Job Summary:**
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bury, Lancashire. The ideal candidate will be proactive, supportive, and eager to contribute to the development and education of students within the classroom setting.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work alongside the class teacher to support with the delivery of the curriculum.
- Assist in preparing educational materials and setting up the classroom for daily activities.
- Provide additional support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Observe and monitor student's progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive conduct.
- Assist students with special educational needs, providing tailored support as directed by the class teacher.
- Aid in the supervision of students during non-classroom times, including lunch breaks and field trips.
- Perform general administrative duties as required, such as photocopying, filing, and record keeping.
**Requirements:**
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent qualification, is highly desirable.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A patient, caring, and resilient personality, able to adapt to changing situations.
- Willingness to undergo continued training and professional development.
**Additional Information:**
- The successful candidate must undergo a DBS check and provide suitable references.
