Job Title: SEND TA - PRU
Axcis is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Ealing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and managing challenging behaviour. The position is Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:00, within a school that offers excellent facilities and a supportive team. Day rate if £93.48. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviours, helping them manage their emotions and remain engaged in learning. You will also use Makaton and PECS to communicate effectively with non-verbal students, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need. Additionally, you will assist teachers in planning and delivering personalised learning programs for students with a range of needs, while helping to maintain a calm and safe classroom environment using de-escalation techniques when required.
