Job Title: SEN TA - Complex Needs
Axcis are currently seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join a dedicated special educational need school in Hillingdon, supporting students with complex needs and disabilities. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:00, offering a competitive pay rate of £93.48 per day. In this role, you will be working with students of various ages, supporting those with autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and other complex needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in SEN settings, providing both 1:1 and group support, and will be skilled in managing challenging behaviours while promoting a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: -Supporting students with autism, PMLD, and other complex needs -Assisting with personal care, including toileting and feeding -Using sensory techniques and communication tools to engage students -Helping to maintain a calm and safe classroom environment -Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create personalised learning plans -Using de-escalation techniques when managing challenging behaviours Requirements: -Previous experience working in an SEN setting, particularly with autism and PMLD -Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with complex needs students -Ability to work effectively in both 1:1 and group settings -A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures -Commitment to full-time work, Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:00 The SEN School has great facilities and positive attitude.
