Job Title: SEND Seconday Teaching Assistant
Job Title: SEND Secondary Teaching Assistant Location: London, SW18 Pay: 8:00am-4:30pm Hours: £95 a day starting salary Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team in London, SW18, to cater to students with ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties, speech and language challenges. The suitable candidate will have proficiency in Makaton and possess a passion for supporting young people during their critical developmental stages. Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with ADHD, Autism, and various learning difficulties. • Implement and adapt educational materials to meet each student's individual requirements. • Assist in the development of communication skills, utilizing Makaton as necessary to aid in expression and comprehension. • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and execute educational activities that foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. • Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with the teaching staff and contributing to review meetings. • Facilitate social integration and encourage independence among students. • Ensure adherence to the school’s policies, including those related to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
