SEND Nursery Assistant – Camden, NW5
Start Date – May 2025
Duration – Ongoing
Pay Rate – £89+ per day
Working Hours – 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday to Friday
On behalf of our client, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden, NW5, Axcis Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Nursery Assistant for a full-time role.
About your new job:
This role is based in the school's nursery provision and involves supporting young pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, non-verbal communication, and the need for personal care.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Previous experience supporting children with ASD and SEMH needs
Confidence working with non-verbal pupils (knowledge of PECS and other communication systems is highly desirable)
A nurturing and patient approach, with experience delivering personal care in an educational or childcare setting
An ability to work closely with the class teacher, therapists and SENCO to ensure each child is supported holistically
Candidates with prior experience in a nursery or primary school setting in the UK will be strongly preferred.
