About the Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide 1:1 and small group support for secondary-aged pupils with SEN • Support students with Autism (ASC), SEMH, communication needs and additional learning needs • Help pupils access lessons and participate confidently in classroom activities • Work alongside teachers to deliver personalised learning support strategies • Support students’ academic progress alongside their social, emotional and communication development • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported • Support pupils within mainstream classrooms, intervention sessions and smaller support settings • Promote inclusion and encourage students to take an active role in school life The school provides a supportive and structured environment where staff work together to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed.
