Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
The special school opened last year and since then, the school has gone from strength to strength with more forms being introduced termly. The school has wonderful state of the art facilities, a welcoming and approachable senior leadership team and a holistic ethos. The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday 08.30-16.00 and is to start as soon as possible but likely until the end of the end of the academic year for the right candidate. The students at the school are in key stages 3 and 4 with provision for key stage 5 to be welcomed to start next year and all the students have Autism, Speech and language difficulties alongside Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, some of whom have had a very traumatic childhood and display challenging behaviour as a result. It is therefore vital that candidates are resilient, kind hearted, empathetic and approachable and as well as knowledgeable and experienced and most importantly committed and reliable. For this role, you must have a child and adult DBS on the update service or be able to pay for a new one. You will be paid weekly, a week in arrears and the pay is very competitive.
