Job Title: Part-Time Tutor – Sports Specialism (with Maths)- Carshalton
Location: Sutton, London
Hours: 12 hours per week (Part-Time)
About the Role
A specialist education provider based in Sutton, London is seeking a Part-Time Tutor with a Sports specialism who is also confident teaching Maths. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners in a supportive and inclusive learning environment while helping them develop both practical and academic skills.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging sessions that combine sport-related learning with essential maths skills, helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and progress in their education.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging sports-focused learning sessions to students.
• Teach and support learners in Maths, adapting lessons to suit different abilities.
• Plan and prepare lessons that support both academic and practical development.
• Monitor and record student progress.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to provide a positive learning environment.
• Encourage participation, confidence, and personal development among learners.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• Experience teaching or tutoring Sport and/or Physical Education.
• The ability to teach Maths to a functional or foundation level.
• A recognised teaching, coaching, or tutoring qualification (or relevant experience).
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• A supportive and adaptable approach to working with learners.
