Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Learning Support Assistant – College Setting | Haringey

A welcoming and inclusive college in Haringey is seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their support team on a full-time basis from September.
The successful candidate will work with students aged 16–19 who have a range of mild to moderate additional learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. The role will involve providing classroom support, assisting with student engagement, and delivering targeted small group interventions to help learners achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students within classroom and college settings
Deliver focused small group intervention sessions
Assist students with coursework, organisation, and engagement
Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND department
Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a similar LSA/SEND support role
Experience supporting young people with additional needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
