HLTA – SEND Interventions – Primary School – Havering

Axcis are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Havering who are seeking a confident HLTA to support their SEND provision from September.
The school has a strong community feel, supportive leadership and a proactive SENCO who works closely with teaching and support staff. This is a varied role that would suit an experienced TA or HLTA who is confident leading small groups, delivering interventions and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
The school offers parking on site and is accessible via local transport links.
About the Role
You will work across the primary phase, supporting pupils with SEND through targeted interventions, classroom support and occasional cover where required.
You will:
• Deliver small-group interventions in literacy, numeracy and communication
• Support pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and learning difficulties
• Lead structured activities under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers
• Provide classroom cover when required, maintaining routines and expectations
• Support pupils with confidence, independence and emotional regulation
• Help monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets
What We’re Looking For
• HLTA qualification or strong experience leading groups/interventions
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Confidence delivering literacy and numeracy support
• Calm, organised and proactive approach
• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
