Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Complex Needs) DE13
Location: Burton-on-Trent (DE13) Start Date: 22nd May (earlier start available) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:00pm (Term Time Only) Contract: Full-Time We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a secondary-aged student with complex physical and medical needs at a specialist provision in Burton-on-Trent. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s life by supporting both their educational and personal care needs in a supportive school environment. About the Role: • Providing 1:1 support for a 14-year-old student • Assisting with mobility using an electric wheelchair • Supporting with personal care requirements • Using specialist equipment, including a hoist (training and/or experience required) • Working closely with teaching staff and healthcare professionals • Ensuring the student’s safety, comfort, and inclusion throughout the school day About the Student: The student has a life-limiting condition and complex needs, including reduced mobility, a heart condition, scoliosis, and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A sensitive, respectful, and proactive approach is essential.
