Job Title: Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant
A well-regarded SEND school in Slough is seeking a full-time teaching assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a long-term role with consistent hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm) and the potential to move into a permanent position after a successful period through the agency. The school supports pupils of all ages with a broad spectrum of needs, including autism, physical disabilities, complex medical conditions, ADHD, SEMH, Down’s syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. No two days are the same and the right person will be someone who’s comfortable working flexibly across different classes and age groups. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, supporting students with their learning, communication and wellbeing, both in and out of the classroom. The ability to remain patient, calm and observant is key—particularly when working with children who present with more challenging behaviour. Willingness to assist with personal care is essential, as is a respectful, pupil-centred approach to support. We’re looking for candidates with at least three months’ experience in a SEND or relevant care/education setting. A TA Level 2 qualification is helpful but not essential. A full UK driving licence is advantageous. If you’re looking for a role where you can build long-term relationships and be a steady, positive presence in a well-structured SEND environment, we’d like to hear from you.
