Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm Salary: £90-£95 per day We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive school in Wandsworth, London. As a key member of our team, you will work full-time, supporting children with a range of complex needs including physical, sensory, social, emotional, and cognitive challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping each child reach their full potential, providing personalized support to promote engagement and learning within a safe and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Assist students with diverse learning needs, adapting to their individual educational and support plans. • Implement strategies to facilitate communication, social interaction, and academic achievement tailored to students' abilities. • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and multidisciplinary teams to monitor and review student progress. • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the adaptation of classroom activities to ensure accessibility. • Aid in the management of behaviour, employing de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement. • Support students with personal care needs, taking into account dignity and encouraging independence. • Promote a positive learning atmosphere, fostering inclusivity and respect within the school community.
