Salary: £150-170 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex Needs Teacher to join our dynamic team in Surrey, Sutton, London. As a Complex Needs Teacher, you will play a critical role in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for students with a wide range of physical, emotional, and learning difficulties. This position requires a resilient individual who is committed to enhancing educational outcomes and fostering the personal development of pupils with diverse special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of each student.
• Employ a wide variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to ensure accessible learning for all.
• Develop Individual Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, adapting curricula to students' needs.
• Promote a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence.
• Employ behaviour management strategies effectively, in line with the school's policy.
• Assess and record student progress systematically, highlighting achievements and any concerns.
• Provide regular feedback to parents and caregivers, maintaining clear communication to support each pupil's development.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school-based training.
Requirements:
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with students with complex needs.
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic approach with resilience in challenging situations.
