The role is to work as both a 1-1 classroom TA as well as providing general class support as and when required supporting students with complex needs, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and those who may require personal care. This well renowned school is very supported by the local authority, is at the heart of the community and has the most incredible set up for the children and young adults who attend, who range from 2 years old to 25 years old, with a hydrotherapy pool, a large sensory garden, music, art and massage therapy alongside physiotherapy, occupational and speech and language therapy too. Due to the needs of the learners and nature of the support required, the ideal candidate is someone either with a great deal of personal or professional experience with learning disabilities or someone who is from a care background but is looking to transition into education as said above.
