Location: Smethwick, Sandwell Start Date: September 2025 Position: Full-time Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: From £89 per day Contract: Long-term We are currently recruiting 2 experienced SEND Teaching Assistants for a special needs primary school in Smethwick, within the Sandwell area. These are full-time, long-term positions starting in September, offering the chance to work in a highly supportive and rewarding environment. The successful candidates will be working with children who have a range of complex needs, providing 1:1 and small group support, and helping to create a nurturing space where pupils can thrive both socially and academically. Key Responsibilities: • Provide personalised support for pupils with special educational needs • Assist in implementing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) • Support pupils' emotional, social, and learning development • Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Requirements: • School or nursery experience is essential • Experience working with children with SEN is essential • Calm, caring, and resilient approach • Strong communication and teamworking skills • Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated team making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
