Job Title: Youth Worker- Part Time
Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a Youth Worker in Herefordshire. Axcis Education is working on behalf of settings in the local area for a range of long term and short term roles. We are currently searching for Part-time Youth Worker in a school Monday to Wednesday 8:30-3:30pm during term time only, these days can be flexible for the right person.
Your role as a Youth Worker would involve working 121 with a student with social, emotional mental health. This child spends time in and out of the classroom so would need someone fun and down to earth to do activities with, out of class but professional and realistic for the in classroom work. The child is very bright but needs support staying on task to ensure good outcomes in their work. The student responds well to the arts so a lot of down time is spent drawing and listening to music.
Ideally you have spent time working with young people previously, but work with children or young adults would also be accepted. This role has the potential for disclosures of information so someone that has delt with this before would be a bonus. You need to be understanding, resilient and reliable to build rapport with this student and have a strong working relationship.
Starting pay for the role is £14.25 per hour.
