Youth Mental Health School Support Worker SEND Teaching Assistant | Bristol | £14.25 per hour | Full-time | ASAP start Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and reach their potential? Axcis Education is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant / Youth Mental Health School Support Worker to join a specialist alternative provision setting in Bristol, supporting young people aged 11 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference to vulnerable young people. You do not need extensive classroom experience. We are particularly interested in people with the right personality, values and motivation, including: • Youth Workers • Sports Coaches • Support Workers • Pastoral or care professionals • Mentors and community workers • People with experience supporting young people in challenging circumstances The school provides a personalised, inclusive learning environment, with staff trained in nurture and trauma-informed approaches. Young people benefit from structured routines, strong relationships and support with emotional regulation, confidence, communication and social skills.
