Job Title: Youth Mental Health Support Worker
Are you someone who’s passionate about making a real difference for young people? If you’ve got the empathy, patience, and resilience to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, we’d love to hear from you!
Axcis Education is teaming up with a fantastic school in Keynsham to find a Youth Mental Health Support Worker. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible, and there’s a good chance it could turn into a permanent job. Pay is £89 per day.
What you’ll be doing:
• Working one-to-one with students who need help managing their emotions and behaviour
• Building strong, trusting relationships with young people, offering encouragement and support
• Helping students engage with learning in a way that works best for them
• Teaming up with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured environment where students can thrive
Who we’re looking for: We care more about the right person than ticking boxes for qualifications. If you’re:
• Patient, understanding, and emotionally resilient
• Great at building supportive relationships with young people
• Passionate about helping students with SEMH needs overcome challenges
• A real team player who’s happy to work alongside school staff
...then you could be a perfect fit!
Experience working with young people—whether that’s through youth work, care, coaching, mentoring, or something similar—is a bonus, but it’s not a must. Your attitude, energy, and ability to connect are what really matter.
What’s in it for you:
• A chance to make a genuine impact in young people’s lives
• Ongoing support, training, and guidance from Axcis Education
• A rewarding role with real potential for something more permanent
If you’re ready to bring your compassion, commitment, and positivity to this role, we’d love to chat with you!
