Job Title: Welfare Staff
Axcis Education are working with a specialist SEND school in Blackburn, who are searching for welfare staff to join their team on an ongoing basis. This role would be 11.30am to 1.30pm, ideally Monday to Friday but there is flexibility for part time. Your role would involve supervising the children during their lunch hours, helping to feed the children and supervising them in the playground. The school caters for primary and secondary aged pupils with a range of SEND needs. Primarily these are learning difficulties and autism, but there are other SEND needs within the school, including physical disabilities, complex and medical needs. Personal care will be required as part of the role. There is a car park onsite for staff, and there are good public transport links within walking distance of the school site. To be considered for this role, you will ideally have experience working with the SEND needs listed above, or experience working with children in some form, ideally in a school setting. You will need an enhanced DBS on the update service, covering working with children and adults. If you do not have one, Axcis can help you apply for a new one.
