Our SEMH and PRU settings are looking for tutors in Tameside, who are confident in delivering GCSE content. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners in a supportive and inclusive learning environment while helping them develop both practical and academic skills.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging sessions that combine varied styles of learning, helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and progress in their education.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach and support learners in core subjects, adapting lessons to suit different abilities.
• Plan and prepare lessons that support both academic and practical development.
• Monitor and record student progress.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to provide a positive learning environment.
• Encourage participation, confidence, and personal development among learners.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• Experience teaching or tutoring
• The ability to teach at GCSE or Functional Skills level
• A recognised teaching, coaching, or tutoring qualification (or relevant experience).
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• A supportive and adaptable approach to working with learners.
