Job Vacancy: SEMH Teaching Assistant (Secondary School) Location: Hillingdon (near Hayes & Harlington Station) Start Date: ASAP Overview Axcis Education is recruiting an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant for a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Hillingdon. The school has a strong focus on community and diversity, and benefits from brand-new facilities. The role involves supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. A strong understanding of a range of behaviours and effective support strategies is essential. Working Hours Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm Full-time position Daily Rate - Competitive The Role You will be supporting students with SEMH needs within a mainstream secondary setting, helping them to access learning and regulate behaviour in a positive way. Key responsibilities include: -Supporting KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs -Managing and responding to challenging behaviour -Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment -Promoting engagement and positive learning outcomes -Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams Requirements -Enhanced DBS on the Update Service -Experience supporting SEMH in a mainstream secondary school -Strong behaviour management skills -Patient, kind, proactive, and resilient approach -Excellent communication skills -Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm) About the School This is a positive and inclusive secondary school with a strong sense of community and modern facilities.
