Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting students with SEND? Axcis Education are looking to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a special school in Swindon. Axcis are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and compassionate candidate who can deal with challenging behaviour and has experience differentiating the curriculum to suit the needs of the student. Working hours for this role are between 8.30 to 3.30.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have experience in handling meltdowns, shutdowns, and physical behaviours, providing effective de-escalation strategies.
- Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for the student and working with wider school staff to help achieve this
- Willingness to cooperate with other staff members to ensure that support is tailored to each specific student’s needs
Requirements for this role include experience working with individuals with ASD, Physical Disabilities and SLD, strong spoken and written English skills, a passion for supporting students with SEND.
