Job Title: Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant – Special School – Autism & Complex Needs – Newham £100–£115 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term Axcis are working with a specialist SEND school in Newham that supports pupils with autism and complex learning needs. The school is seeking a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school provides a structured and nurturing learning environment with small class sizes and a strong support network of teachers, therapists and teaching assistants. About the Role You will be supporting pupils with autism and complex needs within a specialist classroom. Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting pupils with communication and sensory needs • Using structured teaching strategies and visual supports • Assisting with personalised learning activities • Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation • Helping pupils develop independence and social skills What We’re Looking For • Experience supporting pupils with autism or complex SEND • Understanding of sensory and communication needs • Patient and nurturing approach • Ability to work effectively as part of a specialist team The Opportunity This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to work in a specialist SEND setting where staff are passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential.
