We're looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming team in Tameside, working across both mainstream primary and secondary settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting pupils with ADHD and Autism, providing personalised, one-to-one support that helps every child thrive – academically, socially, and emotionally. What You'll Be Doing: - Deliver one-to-one support to pupils with ADHD and Autism, adapting your approach to suit individual needs. - Encourage active participation and promote confidence in the classroom. - Work closely with teachers to deliver personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies. - Build strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families to create a supportive network around each pupil. - Support with classroom organisation, resource preparation, and day-to-day learning activities. - Track progress and share insights with teaching staff and other professionals. - Take part in ongoing training to enhance your understanding of SEN and develop professionally. What We're Looking For: - Prior experience in a Teaching Assistant or support role, ideally within a SEN or mainstream school environment. - Knowledge of ADHD and Autism, and the ability to apply this in a practical, compassionate way. - A calm, patient, and proactive attitude, with a passion for helping young people succeed. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, colleagues, and parents. - A sound understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to student welfare. - Flexibility, teamwork, and a positive approach to the school day. - Relevant qualifications or SEN experience are highly beneficial.
