Are you a nurturing and proactive individual with a passion for working with young children? We are currently looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting children across nursery settings in Bolton. This role involves assisting in day-to-day classroom activities, promoting early learning and helping to create a safe and engaging environment for all children.
Key Duties:
Provide general classroom support to children aged 0–5, helping with activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Assist the class teacher with preparation and delivery of age-appropriate learning tasks and play-based activities.
Offer support to individual children and small groups, encouraging participation and positive behaviour.
Help maintain a safe, welcoming and well-organised learning space in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
Support with daily routines such as snack time, hygiene and outdoor play.
Monitor children’s progress and contribute observations to inform planning and assessments.
Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents to support consistent care and communication.
Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures to ensure children's welfare at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working in an early years or nursery setting is highly desirable.
A warm, caring attitude with the ability to build trust with young children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A sound understanding of EYFS guidelines and early childhood development.
Ability to adapt to the needs of different children and respond with patience and flexibility.
A relevant childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Childcare or Early Years Education) is preferred.
