Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Communication Class Location: West Drayton Start Date: ASAP | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, carry on in September full-time Axis seeking for someone to join a happy and inclusive primary school in West Drayton, where every child is celebrated, supported, and encouraged to shine. We are currently looking for a kind, experienced, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Specialist Communication Class. This is a full-time role where you will play an important part in helping children with complex learning needs to thrive. About the Role: In this specialist class, you will be working closely with a small team made up of a class teacher and two teaching assistants, supporting around 10 pupils. These amazing children have a variety of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour, and they learn best in a calm, structured, and communication-rich setting. Your role will involve: -Working with children individually and in small groups to help them learn and grow. -Helping pupils stay engaged, regulated, and ready to learn. -Supporting children with personal care if needed (e.g., toileting). -Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. -Being a caring and consistent adult that children can rely on each day. What We’re Looking For: We’d love to hear from you if you: -Have experience supporting children with ASD, Down Syndrome, or complex learning needs. -Are confident managing challenging behaviours in a calm and understanding way. -Are comfortable providing personal care when required. -Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. -Are patient, proactive, and passionate about helping every child succeed.
