A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Camden is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis.
This is a dynamic role that involves working both in the mainstream classroom and within the school’s autism provision, supporting pupils with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will play a vital role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in Upper KS2 with ADHD and/or ASD
- Support classroom learning and help manage behaviour in a positive, consistent way
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
- Adapt resources and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a primary school setting OR with children/vulnerable adults with SEN
- Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, and strategies to support neurodiverse learners
- Confident, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
