About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Provide Tailored Support – Offer one-to-one or small group assistance to students, helping them engage with their learning and build confidence in and out of the classroom.
Promote Independence – Encourage students to develop life skills, communication, and social interaction in a supportive environment.
Adapt to Individual Needs – Support learners by adapting materials and approaches, ensuring every student is able to access and enjoy their education.
Create a Safe and Positive Space – Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel secure, respected, and understood.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome people from all backgrounds—whether you’ve worked in a school, volunteered with a youth group, supported someone with additional needs, or worked in care. You don’t need formal experience in education, but you must have the right attitude and commitment.
Essential:
Legal right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
Genuine passion for working with young people with SEND
Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
Experience supporting individuals with Autism, learning difficulties or SEMH needs
Background in youth work, care work, or mentoring
Why Work With Us?
Be part of a close-knit, supportive team
Receive training and ongoing professional development
Make a direct impact on the lives of young people
Gain invaluable experience in the SEND and education sectors
Opportunities for career progression within SEN education
This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to change lives.
