SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-Time & Part-Time | Chorley | From £92.63 per day Axcis Education is the UK's leading SEND recruitment agency, and we're currently looking for caring, dedicated, and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support schools across Chorley and the surrounding areas. We have a variety of full-time and part-time opportunities available, including short-term, long-term, and temp-to-perm positions in specialist schools, SEND units, and mainstream schools with SEND provisions. Job Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including: • Autism (ASC) • ADHD • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) • Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) • Complex needs and challenging behaviour You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, helping pupils achieve their academic, social, and personal goals. Requirements You do not need to have class based experience or Teaching Assistant Qualifications, although this is desirable. To be considered for this role, you must have: • At least 6 months' experience working with SEND. • Overseas applicants must have a minimum of 3 months' UK-based SEND experience. • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and complex needs. • Availability to work between 8:30am and 4:00pm. • The ability to reliably commute to Chorley and the surrounding areas. • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one (Axcis Education can support you with the application process).
