Job Title: Teaching Assistant SEND
Axcis Education is delighted to be recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a large and well-established SEND school in Skelmersdale from September. This is a fantastic full-time Teaching Assistant opportunity for candidates looking to build a rewarding career supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role is Monday to Friday, with working hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm. There is also the opportunity for a permanent contract for candidates who excel in the position. SEND Teaching Assistant Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students aged 11 to 18 with a variety of special educational needs, helping them access learning and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment. You will primarily work with pupils who have: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) • Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) • Complex additional needs The role includes providing educational support and assisting with personal care, making it particularly suitable for candidates with experience in care work, support work, healthcare, or SEND education.
