Job Title: Teaching Assistant SEND
Axcis Education is delighted to be recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for a large and well-established SEND school in Blackburn. We have both full-time and part-time Teaching Assistant jobs available, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN professionals or those with a background in care who are looking to move into education. Working hours are typically 9:00am–3:00pm, with a limited number of positions available from 8:30am–3:30pm. For successful candidates, there is the opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the school. SEND Teaching Assistant Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will primarily work with children and young people with: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) • Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) • Complex additional needs This role involves providing both educational and personal support, including personal care, making it ideal for candidates with previous experience in care work, support work, healthcare, or special education.
