Job Title: Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Support
Axcis Education is currently partnering with a welcoming primary school near Smethwick, Birmingham, to recruit an experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND Teaching Assistant looking to take on a new and rewarding challenge. The school boasts modern, state-of-the-art facilities and has achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted. Its senior leadership team is dedicated to delivering exceptional education and support for every pupil.
Role Overview
This is a full-time position starting in September, working Monday to Friday. You will support children with a variety of complex SEND needs, helping them to access learning and thrive in the classroom environment.
Working hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Pay rate: £92.63 per day
Key Responsibilities
. Support children aged 4 to 11 within the classroom
. Work closely with pupils with SEND, adapting support to individual needs
. Deliver personalised, one-to-one or small group assistance
. Develop positive and meaningful relationships with pupils
. Maintain a calm and supportive presence in the learning environment
Requirements
. Previous experience working in a primary school setting
. Strong behaviour management skills
. A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service
. Full availability during school hours, Monday to Friday
