Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans and lectures across a range of courses within your subject specialty.
- Assess, monitor, and record the progress of students, providing timely feedback to encourage academic development.
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of your subject curricula and educational practices.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and faculty to enhance instructional methods and contribute to curriculum development.
- Provide support and mentorship to students, offering additional assistance outside regular teaching hours when necessary.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and college events.
- Contribute to the upkeep of a safe and inclusive learning environment in compliance with college policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A teaching qualification relevant to further education (FE).
- Demonstrated teaching experience within FE, ideally within a sixth form college setting.
- Expertise in any subject area that aligns with our college's academic offerings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering a positive educational experience and promoting student success.
- The ability to use various teaching methods and technological tools to enhance the learning experience.
